First Blog!! Inspired by George!

So, Today marked my first Reading Day of my first fall semester in college. I was definitely excited to go away to school and explore new things, and I have to admit, I'm doing it. Although, everyday is a struggle for me, being away from my family and friends, I was blessed to find five people who make a difference in my life everyday. My good friend Taria, who I can pretty much call my best friend at UD, helps me overcome my "toddler" ways, as she would say. I am so excited to have someone like her in my life, who has inspired me to change my major, helps me write papers, and helps me stay on track. Other than academics, she's also pretty much like me, in a whole different aspect. Kind of weird, I know! We love event planning!! Can't wait until our Xmas party Saturday, but other than that, she has introduced me to people on campus, who will have a great impact on my life in the near future. I love her dearly!

Then, there's Jenee. What can I say? You can take girls out NY, but you can’t take the NY out of the girls!! We're constantly teased about our "NY accents," but it just feels so much better to have someone to share in the pressure with. =] Also, Jenee reminds me of a lot of my friends.  She's like the baby in the group, which is weird because, I am the youngest, but its okay!! I love Jenee because she helps me with my math, and I help her.  We'll be taking two classes together next semester, so this should be fun! More late night library trips!! YAY!!!

Imani is the girl who's just all confused. I love her because she speaks her mind, but sometimes she gets a little out of hand. She always thinks she's right about everything, and for everyone who knows me... KNOW'S SO DO I!!! So, we clash... A LOT! But, I still appreciate her in my life. She helps me with my Chemistry and Biology! Oh, I can't leave out the fact that Imani is stuck between identities and is a strong believer in whatever issue she'll fight. Like Kwanzaa... she doesn't like the holiday because she doesn't believe it represents "Black People." If you just said HUH? To yourself, then you understand how I feel, and what I have to go through everyday! But yeah, I still love her!

Moving right along to Jon! Jon is the only boy in the group, and we pick on him a lot!! It's fun but we love him! Well some of us do [Taria and I]... But, Jon is cool. He's an educated Black Brother who goes for what he wants. Most of all, I just think he's an overachiever, but there is nothing wrong with a brother who can make the deans list and still have time to play his corny Wii and PS2 every night... LOSER!!

Lastly, We have miss FASTTTTTT!! Aka STACEY! She's the little hotpot of the group, always running home to be with her boo. I don’t blame her, what I don’t like is why ha bitch ass constantly lies to us. But, it is ok! We love her anyways. Soon enough, she'll learn that WE ARE MORE IMPORTANT!!!

Besides everyone's individual impact on my life, we all eat and study together on a daily basis. We also go on group outings to the mall and trips! And I can't leave out our weekly movie night, in Taria's room, courtesy of MY NETFLIX'S. I just love them all, Imma miss them winter break!! Good luck on finals you guys! I’m off to right my paper!
